Anchor QEA, an environmental science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a full-time ENVIRONMENTAL DATABASE ANALYST/PROGRAMMER in its Seattle, WA office.
The Database Analyst who has programming experience will be a member of our data management team and will be performing environmental data management and analysis. The team supports over 200 environmental scientists, planners, and engineers. Responsibilities include developing and testing stored procedure and SQL queries, reporting, and database administration.
Applicants must have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field, and two (2) to five (5) years of experience with a commercial or open-source relational database management system (such as Access, SQL-Server, or MySQL). Programming experience in Java or Visual Basic is preferred. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing environmental data (sediment, soil, water) for sediment engineering and environmental remediation projects. Previous experience with environmental projects is a plus.
The successful candidate will also have outstanding oral and written communication skills and will be expected to work closely and effectively in a team environment and have the ability to meet tight schedules and demanding client expectations.
