Anchor QEA, an environmental science and engineering consulting company, is seeking a full-time RISK ASSESSOR in one of our Washington State offices (Seattle or Richland area).
The Risk Assessor will provide environmental human health risk assessment support on a variety of projects throughout the U.S. A key responsibility of this position is to perform routine human health risk assessment assignments in a manner consistent with USEPA and/or state regulatory requirements and associated guidance. Candidates must be able to work under limited supervision and be able to participate in more complex assignments under closer supervision. Assignments will include compilation of dose-response data, exposure assessment, exposure point concentration evaluation, risk assessment calculations, data analysis, and report preparation. Other tasks could include regulatory guidance and literature research, critical evaluation, and synthesis of regulatory guidance, compliance criteria for chemicals in potential exposure media (groundwater, surface water, soil, air, food), and scientific literature. Candidates must be able to evaluate, select, and apply standard risk assessment techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform technical assignments and QA/QC activities.
At least 3 to 10 years of applicable experience is required, with primary emphasis in human health risk assessment. A B.S. or M.S. in Toxicology, Risk Assessment, Biology, Public Health, or a related technical field is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Demonstrated experience with proUCL, RESRAD, or other similar tools is also required.
